With a blend of artistry, literature, and technology, the students came together to create a vibrant website dedicated to honouring Sukumar Ray’s legacy.
The website, a labour of love, serves as a digital showcase of the myriad ways Abol Tabol has inspired and enchanted generations. From colourful artwork and insightful articles to captivating interviews and melodious renditions of Ray's verses, the website is a treasure trove of creativity and imagination.
At the heart of the website are the students' artworks based on a theme, each a visual interpretation of Ray's nonsensical verses. From intricate illustrations depicting characters similar to the poem Khichuri to quaint animations bringing to life the surreal landscapes of Ray's imagination, the artwork breathed new life into familiar tales. Accompanying the artwork are articles exploring various facets of Abol Tabol, from its linguistic brilliance to its enduring relevance in today's world. Students delved into the intricacies of Ray's wordplay, dissected the societal commentary hidden within the absurdity, and reflected on the universal appeal of his verses, offering readers new insights into this beloved work of literature.
It also features interviews with scholars, and artists who shared their perspectives on Ray's legacy and the impact of Abol Tabol on Bengali literature and culture. From insightful discussions on Ray's literary influences to personal anecdotes about the first time they encountered his work, these interviews added depth and richness to the celebration. And no tribute to Abol Tabol would be complete without music. The website features a song and recitation inspired by Ray's verses, each capturing the essence of his whimsical world in its own unique way. We expect visitors of this website to get immersed in a world of wonder and delight. It is a tribute to Sukumar Ray's masterpiece, honouring not just the brilliance of his work but also the joy and inspiration it continues to bring to readers of all ages.

A skit featuring Sukumar Ray who visits the Earth only to find his created characters navigating the complexities of the modern world, with their trademark characteristics, a century after their creation. With rhyming dialogues and playful antics, the performance evokes laughter while subtly exploring the enduring relevance of Ray's work in a rapidly changing society.
An engaging dialogue drama based on poems from Sukumar Ray's Abol Tabol, students of our Academy takes center stage alongside their family members, bringing the nonsense verses to life. Through lively exchanges and expressive gestures, they delve into the absurdities and humour woven into Ray's poetry. As the families navigate the playful wordplay and hilarious scenarios together, they not only entertain but also foster a deeper bond through shared laughter and literary exploration.
Gamification is not a new technique of teaching and learning and has been practiced earlier. The fact that it has become, once again, a very popular means of teaching, is quite refreshing. At Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, in the Cyberfair, students played a game of ‘Sense in Nonsense’, inspired by Sukumar Ray’s Abol Tabol.
The game is inspired from the ‘The exquisite corpse’, played by the Surreal Great Artists.
